Rurual Internet
If your broadband is slow and unreliable - what can you do ?
Satellite services are an option - but often the data use is metered (its not unlimited data) and monthly subscriptions are typically £50.
Mobile / Cell phone / 3G / 4G system now offer a real alternative - thanks to unlimited data sim card deals being available.
(EE unlimited data sim £35 per month)
We've seen speeds of 69mbps from our externally mounted router box. If you are struggling for a signal - best to put all the kit outside and up as high as possible. Outdoor antenna are ok but signal is lost in the cable.
The box pictured here is the solution we like best - it is also wifi hot-spot - with a tested 300m radius coverage of wifi.
Wifi
So - you've got internet - but struggling with wifi
Large farmhouses with thick walls will struggle to provide "wifi in every room" as BT will promise.
You might have wifi in the house but when you step outside its gone and the mobile signal is poor.
When you walk behind the first barn or shed - signal is lost.
We can solve with with a range of internal and external wifi access points and mesh solutions.
Mesh solutions are where multiple wifi point are used - each forms a link to all other boxes - creating a mesh of crossing signals, giving maximum coverage.
Linking between building and sites
when local wifi is not enough - you perhaps also own the neighbouring farm and would like to link the sites together so you can share internet, use you mobile at the other site, view remote cameras, use animal tracking and monitoring gadgets......
we can provide a point-to-point wifi link over long distances (15km) as long as there is line of sight
